Alamo Heights recognized for renewable energy usage
November 8, 2010 – San Antonio
The Environmental Protection Agency has named Alamo Heights an official Green Power Community for its participation in CPS Energy’s Windricity program.
As a Windricity business partner, Alamo Heights is collectively purchasing 3.6 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy annually. This represents 3.34 percent of the city’s total electricity usage. More than 160 Alamo Heights residents and businesses have signed up for CPS Energy’s Windricity program.
CPS Energy provides gas and electric services throughout the San Antonio area.
