January 2011: San Antonio at UTSA

The San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Green Network kicked off the New Year at the Downtown Campus of The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for some quality networking and delicious appetizers from Green Vegetarian Restaurant (www.greensanantonio.com). 

We met the new local Board Members before settling in to hear S. John Facey speak on “Sustainable Psychology – Lessons Learned by the Sustainable Business Program.”

John is a Manufacturing Engineer in UTSA’s Institute for Economic Development. He assisted in developing the school’s new Sustainable Business Program, where he developed the Sustainable Manufacturing module and manages the Pilot-Demonstration portion of the program.

John has also served as Project Manager for the Southwest Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, where he recently helped establish a new Gulf Oil Spill Disaster Adjustment Assistance program.
