April, 2010: Earth Day Events
The Texas Green Network did not host any events in April this year to support and participate in a variety of April/Earth Day events.
This was the first year for the Renewable Stampede, brought to you by the same folks that do the Renewable Roundup in Fredericksburg. The Stampede was April 17th-18th in Salado, TX. We had a nice turnout for a first effort, even with the on-and-off rain throughout the weekend.
The Austin Earth Day Festival for 2010 was Wednesday, April 21st, at the Triangle. Austin Green Art and the Triangle Farmers Market presented this family-friendly Earth Day Expo. Perfect weather, fantastic turnout and a wide variety of attractions.
The Texas Green Network participated in the Green Living Expo this year and got a chance to meet a huge variety of businesses and individuals with an amazing array of interests. Regardless of your perspective, this event includes representation of the whole spectrum of “green”.
Austin Earth Day was a perfect family outing this year.
