Guest presenter: Gary FreeborgBiodiversity

Even though we have experienced some wonderful rains lately, WATER is still a huge issue in Central Texas and much of the world. There are many actions we can take to maximize the rain that falls on our property, on our city lots or country acreage.

Many of us know about berms and swales as land-sculpted water-directing and conserving devices. Gary Freeborg is not only a master of typical swales, but he creates SWALES ON STERIODS! These super swales get water and oxygen deep into the soil by mimicking how nature works in a healthy system. Join us to learn various ways to create amazing swales that will enliven your landscape.

DBL is a volunteer-run educational organization providing valuable information, and optional donations at the door are always appreciated.  No RSVP required. For more details, email us via “Contact Us” or call Scott Clay at 512-689-1149.
