Our San Antonio chapter event for September 2011 was hosted by Lion and Rose British Restaurant and featured our Sink-in to Solar presentation by guest speaker, Lanny Sinkin of Solar San Antonio. Lanny Sinkin is the Executive Director of Solar San Antonio, an organization his father, Bill Sinkin, founder and Chairman, established eleven years ago. Solar San Antonio encourages the use of solar energy through public policies, regulatory and financial mechanisms, public education and implementing marketing strategies to promote renewable energy. Like TGN, Solar San Antonio is focused on the long-term success of sustainable energy and supports the acceleration of sustainability initiatives in San Antonio. TGN is proud to host Lanny Sinkin and Solar San Antonio as well as learn how the San Antonio community can Sink-in to Solar energy. “This is sure to be an exciting event and an opportunity to learn about the future of solar in San Antonio,” Maribel Gonzalez, President of Texas Green Network, San Antonio.
