4th Annual Austin Green Holiday Party!

[ December 15, 2011; 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. ] Join us at the beautiful Barr Mansion for an evening of green holiday cheer with friends from some of Central Texas finest hard-working environmental organizations. Live music, food and beverages included with your ticket. Our organizations come together again to celebrate the holidays, bring our groups closer together, network and prepare for a unified and productive 2012.

November, 2011: Austin — A Tour of UT Austin’s Award Winning Combined Heat & Power Plant

November, 2011: San Antonio — Joint Holiday Event with Build San Antonio Green & USGBC Balcones-Central Texas Chapter

For November, 2011 our San Antonio Chapter joined forces with USGBC Balcones-Central Texas Chapter and “Build San Antonio Green” for a joint San Antonio green holiday and networking event.  The event was hosted by Luke where we enjoyed a nice atmosphere and delicious appetizers.
 

October, 2011: San Antonio — Presentation from UTSA’s Sustainable Business Program

Our San Antonio event for September, 2011 featured a presentation from the UTSA Institute for Economic Development’s Sustainable Business Program.  The presentation on “Sustainable Business in San Antonio’s Growing Green Economy” covered ways small businesses can take advantage of the program’s no-cost services which include:

• Environmentally responsible purchasing

October, 2011: Austin — Presentation from City of Austin Sustainability Office at House & Earth

Our Austin event for October, 2011 was hosted by House and Earth, Austin’s environmentally friendly retail building supplies store.  The city’s new Office of Sustainability unveiled their new Green Business Leaders Program, a comprehensive action and recognition program for Austin businesses.  A wide range of local business owners and advocates gave great feedback.
